Flooding Update

At least a dozen Habitat families have been impacted by the flooding. 3 are unable to live in their homes the rest are dealing with issues ranging from wet crawl space insulation to no hot water. If you'd like to help please contact volunteer coordinator Holly Hinson by email (hhinson@louisvillehabitat.org) or phone at (502) 637-6265 x 34

Summer Newsletter

The Communications Team did a great job on the summer newsletter! I'll never forget the raise-the-roof for Kary's house; it rained and rained and rained. It's the first time I can remember when Dick Kline actually drilled holes in the subfloor to let puddles of rain drain off; I'm sure he did it before then that was just the first time I noticed. Prentice St.- top Top 10 Preservation Success Stories for 2008

Habitat has been involved with complete home renovation in Louisville for about 3 years now. I’ve attached a photo illustrating the significant impact this process has had on homes in our city. The brick home in the picture actually has been recognized by “Preservation Louisville” as one of the top 10 preservation success stories of 2008. We've rolled out the welcome mat for you and are so glad you've joined us! Here are some things you can do in the Habitat for Humanity Louisville Community:

1) Spiff up your Profile page! Add photos from builds you've been a part of, start a blog, post a link to your website, add videos, add widgets. Make your profile a little reflection of you!
2) Join a group! Are you working on a specific build? Join that build's group and get connected! Don't see your build listed as a group? Start a group for your build!
3) Post a photo! Share photos from your latest HFHL activity.
4) Upload or link to a video of you and your friends hard at work making our community a better place.
5) Get involved in a discussion over on our forums. What's on your mind today?
